Dr. Piedimonte received his degree in Medicine from the University of Rome School of Medicine in Italy, completed his residency training in Pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco, and received fellowship training at the Cardiovascular Research Institute of the University of California San Francisco and at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. He maintains an active clinical practice, is regularly listed among the “Top Doctors” locally, nationally, and internationally, and holds active certifications in General Pediatrics and in Pediatric Pulmonology from the American Board of Pediatrics. He has also received formal training in Health Care Management and Managed Care & Capitation from the University of Miami School of Business; Health Policy and Management from Harvard School of Public Health; Healthcare Finance & Accounting from Baldwin Wallace University; and Population Health from Thomas Jefferson University. Niran S. Al-Agba, MD is a third-generation primary care physician practicing for 20 years in her hometown. She began working in her father’s medical office on Saturdays when she was 9 and has done every job in a medical office that there is including receptionist, medical assistant, janitor, and all the way to physician owner. After graduating from Michigan State University with a BS in Lyman Briggs Physiology and History of Health and Humanities, she attended University of Washington School of Medicine, graduating in 1999. She completed internship and residency at Denver Childrens Hospital/University of Colorado SOM and returned home to work in her father’s practice in 2001 for a few months and then permanently in 2002. Dr. Rotering is a Pulmonary and Critical Care physician, leader, mentor, and coach who is deeply committed to people–to their growth, upliftment, resilience, and purpose as they strive toward the best version of themselves in their professional and personal lives. She supports mastery for individuals and organizations by employing both experiential and introspective processes. Carla delivers her guidance and expertise with full-hearted enthusiasm, caring, wisdom, and humor. Her life experience and training have offered her a deep appreciation for the role of coaching and mentoring as it contributes to evolving human potential and our shared ability to expand and grow toward collaboration, excellence, and integrity. Dr. Marlene Wüst-Smith is the founder and publisher of Physician Outlook Magazine, a print and online magazine that hopes to change the division between the once sacred physician and patient relationship. The magazine has a dual audience: its target reader is BOTH the physician and the patient, and it effectively humanizes and simplifies issues important to patients of all ages, demographics and political persuasions. She believes in supporting those who have been traditionally underserved. The Physician Outlook Magazine recently launched a job board where it hopes to promote opportunities for physicians at healthcare organizations that still believe in patients over profits while creating confidentiality and autonomy for the physician candidate. Dr. Marta Illueca was born in New York and grew up in Central America. A physician and bi-vocational priest, she holds post doctoral graduate degrees from Cornell University Medical College, Yale Divinity School and Tufts University. Marta’s research is on spiritual wellness and healing with focusing on the use of prayer as a therapeutic intervention for chronic pain. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, she currently is deployed to the Brandywine Collaborative Ministries in Wilmington. Marta who is fluent in Spanish, grew up in a multicultural environment, and oversees the translations of diocesan messages in the Delaware area. Her full show can be found here.
