The Pathfinder: William Ennis, DO, MBA, MMM, CPE

William Ennis, Chief Medical Officer, joined Healogics in 2015. He also presently serves as the Catherine and Francis Burzik Professor of Wound Healing and Tissue Repair and as the Chief of the Section of Wound Healing at the University of Illinois at Chicago, department of vascular surgery. He has practiced wound care for over 25 years.


Previously, Dr. Ennis served as the CMO for Accelecare Wound Centers, as well as President of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care. He is board certified in general surgery, vascular surgery and family medicine with a certificate of added qualification in undersea and hyperbaric medicine. Dr. Ennis founded the first wound healing and tissue repair fellowship in the United States, as well as served as President of the American College of Wound Healing and Tissue Repair.


After graduating from the State University of New York at Stony Brooke, Dr. Ennis earned his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He subsequently received his MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management in Chicago. Dr. Ennis also has a Master of Medical Management degree from the University of Southern California.
